Memory Reflection This work is rooted in a childhood memory from Nigeria. I remember a gifted school friend whose drumming could transform an ordinary gathering into a celebration. Around him, dancers moved in rhythm - appearing, disappearing and reappearing in my memory. Over time, faces have softened and details have faded, but the rhythm remains. The dancers appear only in fragments because memory itself is fragmentary. This painting is not a reconstruction of that moment; it is an echo of the feeling it left behind.
